What is the AI Automation Skills Test?
The AI Automation Skills Test checks how well you understand the building blocks of no-code AI automation: the skills you use to connect apps, add AI steps, and cut out manual busywork. It covers six areas. Automation fundamentals. The no-code platforms Zapier, Make, and n8n. AI and LLM steps, including models like Claude. Data and integrations, up to newer standards like MCP. Workflow logic. And testing and ROI.
It’s built for career pivoters, operators, marketers, and anyone who wants to show they can design automations, not just talk about them. You don’t need to be a developer. Every question maps to a real decision you’d face while building a workflow.
How is the score calculated?
All 30 questions carry equal weight. Your score is the number of correct answers as a percentage, mapped to one of four levels: Beginner (0–40%), Intermediate (41–70%), Advanced (71–89%), and Expert (90–100%). You also get a per-category breakdown, so you can see where you’re strong and which area to work on next.
The test gives feedback after each answer, with a short explanation of why the right option is right. So it also teaches you as you go, instead of only handing you a grade at the end.
