They’re most useful if you’re a professional looking to upskill and understand where you actually stand with AI and data tools, a career switcher who wants to identify the fastest gaps to close before applying for new roles, a hiring manager or team lead who needs a quick benchmark before recommending learning paths for their team, or a student or bootcamp grad validating what you’ve learned before entering the job market.

No prior experience is required for the readiness and literacy tests. The Python and AI Developer tests assume working knowledge of programming.

How to Use These Tools

  • 1
    Pick the right test

Not sure where to start? If you’re new to AI, begin with the AI Literacy Test. If you code, go straight to Python or AI Developer. If you’re in a non-technical role, try AI Readiness.

  • 2
Answer honestly — no guessing strategy

Each question has one correct answer. The scoring gives you a percentage score and a grade band (Beginner → Expert), so accuracy matters more than speed.

  • 3
    Read the per-question feedback

After each answer, you’ll see an explanation. This is where most of the learning happens — even if you answered correctly.

  • 4
    Review your category breakdown

The results screen shows your score by category. Focus your study time on the areas below 60% first.

  • 5
    Follow the recommended courses

Each test links to specific courses on DataCamp and Coursera matched to your weakest areas. Retake the test after a study sprint to track progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — permanently, with no strings attached. No email required, no free trial, no credit card. Every test on this page is fully free to take as many times as you like.
Each question carries equal weight. Your final score is a simple percentage of correct answers, mapped to four grade bands: Beginner (0–40%), Intermediate (41–70%), Advanced (71–89%), and Expert (90–100%). Category breakdowns show your score per topic area.
If you’re in a non-technical role, start with the AI Readiness Test or AI Literacy Test. If you work with data, try the Data Analysis Skills Test or SQL Skill Test. Developers should head straight to Python or AI Developer.
Yes. Hit Retake on the results screen and you’ll get a fresh attempt. Questions and option order may vary between attempts. We recommend waiting until you’ve studied the weak areas before retaking — the category breakdown on your results screen tells you exactly where to focus.
Most tests have 30 questions and take around 10–15 minutes at a comfortable pace. There’s no time limit — take as long as you need. The AI Developer test skews slightly longer due to more technical questions.
Yes. A CV Optimizer is coming soon, along with additional skill tests in areas like prompt engineering, AI for marketing, and SQL. All new tools will follow the same format — free, no sign-up, with detailed feedback.
