What Is the AI Career Readiness Assessment?

This is a free, in-depth assessment built for working professionals who want a clear, personalised picture of where they stand in an AI-disrupted job market. Unlike generic “will robots take my job?” lookups that give the same answer to everyone in your job title, this tool evaluates your specific situation across five dimensions and produces a tailored readiness profile.

You will answer 30 questions covering your role’s exposure to automation, your current AI fluency, your adaptability, your career mobility, and your strategic intent. The result is a Readiness Score, a Disruption Risk band, a personal Skill Gap report, and three suggested AI-first roles you could pivot toward.

How Is the Score Calculated?

Each of the 30 questions feeds one of five equally weighted sub-scores: Disruption Exposure, Current AI Skills, Adaptability, Career Mobility, and Strategic Intent. Your overall Readiness Score is the average of those five, expressed as a percentage. Grade bands: Beginner (0-40%), Intermediate (41-70%), Advanced (71-89%), Expert (90-100%).

Is This AI Career Assessment Free?

Yes, permanently. No sign-up, no email gate, no paywall. You can retake it as many times as you like to track how your readiness profile shifts as you build new skills.

What Is Unique About This Assessment?

Most “AI job risk” tools give you a single number based only on your job title. This assessment goes deeper: it looks at the texture of your work, scores five separate dimensions, and matches you to specific AI-first roles based on your actual answers — not just your title.

How Can I Improve My AI Readiness Score?

The fastest way is to build hands-on AI fluency in a way employers can verify. We recommend Coursera for university-backed programs like Google’s AI Essentials and IBM AI Engineering, and DataCamp for practical skill tracks in prompt engineering, AI-assisted analytics, and applied LLMs. Pick one course in your skill gap, finish it in 4-6 weeks, retake this assessment, and watch the score move.

Frequently Asked Questions

The score is a calibrated estimate, not a prediction. It draws on patterns from labour-market AI exposure research combined with your own answers about tasks, tools, and adaptability. Use it as a directional signal — high risk means start preparing now, not that your job disappears tomorrow.
Roles that either build AI systems (AI engineer, ML ops, prompt engineer), operate alongside AI as a core workflow (AI product manager, AI-augmented analyst), or govern AI use (AI ethics lead, AI compliance specialist). These are growing fastest and are the most resilient pivot targets for the next 5-10 years.
Especially relevant. AI disruption is hitting white-collar non-tech roles (marketing, legal, finance, HR, customer support) faster than deeply technical engineering roles. The assessment is designed to work across any knowledge-worker role.
No. The assessment runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is stored, sent to a server, or shared. Refresh the page and your answers are gone.
Every 3-6 months is a good cadence — long enough to complete a course or apply new tools at work, short enough to catch shifts in the labour market. Save your score each time and watch the trend.
